Probably still my favorite Dawn Ray'd album (and I have and love them all). The raw passion and drive of A Thorn, A Blight is inspiring. Aggression mixed with pathos. Solidarity with the political messaging. Sheer brilliance all around, including the inclusion of the violin over rough shod black metal.
